The 37th International Exhibition for Fine and Specialty Chemicals concluded last week at the Messe Düsseldorf in Germany. The event welcomed 404 exhibitors from 27 countries, presenting their innovative substances and bespoke solutions on a record net exhibition space of 7,627m2. Increasing visitor numbers by 9.4% compared to last year’s edition, the show attracted a total of 4,548 trade visitors from 72 countries.

Voith employee inducted into Paper Industry International Hall of Fame

On June 19, 2024, Christian Schiel, a former Voith employee, was posthumously inducted into the Paper Industry International Hall of Fame (PIIHOF) in recognition of his many innovative developments that contributed greatly to modern paper machine designs. The award was accepted by Michael MacGregor, a former colleague of Schiel and a co-sponsor of the award nomination, during a presentation at the Wisconsin Paper Council’s annual meeting in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
