Ecco introduces first shoe featuring innovative protein-based fibre
Ecco, in partnership with Spinnova, announces the launch of the limited edition Ecco Biom® 720, a first-of-its-kind shoe utilising an often overlooked leather by-product, transformed into a protein-based fibre. The fibres are produced using patented technology that advances material innovation while reducing waste and supporting full resource use across the leather and textile industry.
Challenging first quarter for Södra
Södra delivered a positive result for the first quarter of 2026. The result was strongly impacted by the divestment of Södra’s forest holdings in the Baltics. A challenging market environment distinguished the quarter with weak demand and a continued imbalance between the raw material market and the markets for Södra’s products.
Södra strengthens safety for lone working
Following the weekend’s storm in Sweden, Södra is bringing forward the launch of its safety app Tryggve. The app forms part of Södra’s work to increase safety in the forest and enhance security for people working alone.
