On October 12, Voith and Saica Group celebrated 25 years of the PM 9 production line at Saica in El Burgo de Ebro, Zaragoza, Spain. Today, the board and packaging machine is regarded as a true benchmark and leader in terms of operational efficiency and product quality.
Valmet will deliver a Quality Control System (QCS) to Metsä Tissue’s Mariestad mill in Sweden. The intelligent system will support the performance and ensure quality of the mill’s tissue machine PM 35. The order is included in Valmet’s orders received of the third quarter 2025. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
Toscotec will supply a complete rebuild of PM3’s drying section to Papeterie le Bourray mill in Saint-Mars-la-Brière, France. This marks a repeat order for Toscotec, following the successful PM4 rebuild in 2020 where a new headbox helped the mill achieve its target. Planned to start up by March 2026, this new pivotal project aims to support the area in achieving energy consumption reduction, marking a strong, tangible commitment to a greener future.
Wuzhou Special Paper Group has selected Voith to retrofit the press section of its PM 19 paper machine at its Jiangxi facility. At the heart of the project is Voith’s innovative DuoCentri Press with Center Belt – a solution developed to meet demanding production requirements. The retrofit is designed to enhance operational reliability and boost overall production performance.
International technology group Andritz has been selected to supply a new recovery boiler for Century Pulp and Paper’s mill in Lalkuan, Uttarakhand, India. It will replace one of the existing recovery boilers, increasing the mill’s green energy production. Start-up is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
With CellPress, Voith brings a roll cover to the market that specifically counteracts early wear of roll covers caused by chemicals and high temperatures. The solution was developed for applications in pulp dewatering machines that operate under particularly demanding chemical and thermal conditions. On Sept. 10, 2025, Voith broke ground on a multi-million-dollar project that will expand and modernize its roll service center in West Monroe, Louisiana – adding more than 20 new jobs and supporting the local economy.
Voith has successfully completed the PM 6 rebuild project for Stora Enso in the northern-most university city in Europe, Oulu in northern Finland. The modernized plant will now achieve an impressive annual capacity of 750,000 tons of high-quality folding boxboard and coated kraft back (CKB), at a wire width of 9,000 mm.
Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. has selected international technology group Andritz to supply a new recovery boiler for its pulp mill in Ishinomaki, Japan. The scope of supply includes advanced automation and digitalization solutions for maximum use of the boiler’s potential. The value of the order will not be disclosed. It is included in Andritz’s order intake for the second quarter of 2025.
