Once again this year, the Leipzig-based emtec Electronic GmbH will be exhibiting its innovative measuring instruments at IMPS 2026 in Munich. From March 17 to 19, the event will focus on advances in paper and board production. The International Munich Paper Symposium is opening its doors for the 34th time and welcoming experts from the paper, board and tissue industry. For years, emtec Electronic has been part of the exclusive circle of exhibitors, as the predominantly technical conference is accompanied by a renowned exhibition.
In addition to the two highly regarded laboratory measuring devices, the CAS Charge Analyzing System and the FPA Fiber Potential Analyzer, which are used in the wet-end of paper production to determine particle and fiber charge, the modern FPO Fiber Potential Analyzer Online measuring device will also be presented again this year. This process-integrated zeta potential measuring device operates automatically and delivers data on zeta potential, streaming potential, conductivity, pH value, and temperature to the process control system or to a secure data cloud for worldwide remote access, depending on the process settings, approximately every ten minutes.
The ACA Ash Content Analyzer is used to detect the total content of mineral fillers and the individual minerals and fillers in paper and board products, delivering accurate results in percent within one minute without destroying the sample. It is the first of its kind and replaces the traditional, time-consuming and energy-intensive combustion method.
The TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer (better known as the Tissue Softness Analyzer) has been modernized and equipped with additional functions. The objective determination of the handfeel or softness of base and finished products is standard practice in the tissue industry. The additional optional functions include the measurement of thermo-haptic properties and surface friction. An optional integrated high-resolution camera can be used to provide images of the clamped sample for optical analysis.
Stefan Ruebesam, the emtec expert responsible for DACH region, will present these measuring devices at the IMPS International Munich Paper Symposium and will be available to answer any questions and suggestions.
