Toscotec is pleased to announce the start-up of the turnkey project featuring AHEAD 2.2L for Intertrade Hellas at its Oinofyta paper mill, near Athens. Drawing on decades of engineering experience, Toscotec continues to support the customer by providing innovative solutions that offer unmatched production flexibility and a constant step forward in operational excellence. The machine features a net sheet width of 5,600 mm, a maximum operating speed of 2,200 m/min, and a production capacity of up to 80,000 tons/year, over a range of Facial, Toilet, Napkin and Towel products.
A state-of-the-art technological project
The turnkey plant combines high-speed production with a minimal environmental footprint. The machine features a hydraulic TT Headbox-ML-T and the innovative TT NextPress shoe press technology, which ensures superior water removal while maintaining the premium bulk of the tissue. At the heart of the drying process is a third-generation TT SYD Steel Yankee Dryer integrated with cogeneration system managed by Toscotec DCS, TT Brain, for intuitive, high-precision control of the electrification and automation systems, and the QCS to gain control over product quality. The dedicated complete electrification of the plant is also provided by Toscotec. The quality of the final product is guaranteed by the TT BulkyReel, designed to maximize the softness and caliper of the final product.
The plant is also equipped with an integrated solution for stock preparation intended to minimize energy and water consumption – together with the patented TT SAF® DD. The plant is also supported by a comprehensive wet-dust and mist removal systems, hall ventilation, and a complete roll handing and wrapping systems.
TT Energy Pack: enhancing decarbonization
The line features a tailor-made TT Energy Pack, designed to meet Intertrade Hellas’ sustainability targets, such as reducing energy consumption and minimizing the environmental footprint of the entire production process. This integrated package is engineered with TT TurboDryer for advanced thermal recovery, which boosts the de-watering efficiency of the shoe press and increases post-press dryness. The high-efficiency TT Hoods are equipped with TT Swing configuration and optimized by TT DryingEquilibrium – Toscotec’s automatic balancing system.
In a move toward green transition the line features the TT Hydrogen Burner, designed to work with up to 100% hydrogen fuel and TT Hoods are engineered for future 100% electric operation.
A comprehensive industrial solution
The project includes OPTIMA 2600 slitter rewinder with an automatic shaft puller. Toscotec’s commitment is solidified through a 360-degree service package – covering everything from detailed engineering and erection to training, babysitting, commissioning, and after sales support.
