To meet growing demand for lightweight and resource-efficient corrugated packaging, Holmen is extending the Holmen Elevate range with a fresh-fibre fluting – Holmen Elevate Flute. The addition enables a consistent approach across the entire corrugated structure, reducing material use and emissions without compromising performance.

Dalian Ruiguang, China, has awarded international technology group Andritz an order to supply a WetlaceTM line for the production of premium roll goods for eco-friendly flushable wipes that meet the latest standards for flushability. The order is included in Andritz’s order intake for the second quarter of 2026. Start-up is scheduled for the end of 2026.

International technology group Andritz has received an order from newly established Kruger Nonwovens to deliver a complete WetlaceTM hybrid line for the Wayagamack mill in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. With this investment, pulp and paper producer Kruger is preparing to enter the nonwovens market with a new generation of plastic-free, chemical-free materials for sustainable wipes. The line is the first of its kind in Canada and is scheduled to start production in 2028.

Valmet is to deliver a district heating optimization solution to Okun Energia Oy’s Miilu heat plant area in Outokumpu, Finland. The solution provides cost-effective, operator-independent control of district heating production and network operations. It also plays a mission-critical role in efficiently using waste heat from a local data center, improving energy management, and optimizing performance across its district heating network, which serves a municipality of 6,000 people in Eastern Finland.

PulPac has signed Australia-based Zipform Packaging as a new licensee of its Dry Molded Fiber technology, marking a step forward in scaling fiber-based solutions into demanding food packaging applications. The license agreement gives Zipform access to PulPac’s patented technology, enabling the company to develop and industrialize new fiber-based packaging solutions within its existing business and customer base.
