The Navigator Company announces a 30 USD/t price increase on UWF papers in overseas markets

The Navigator Company will be implementing a 30 USD/t price increase in Uncoated Woodfree (UWF) Papers in Overseas markets. The new pricing is effective immediately. This new adjustment continues to result from pressure on key cost components, coupled with the need to rebalance margins in the context of solid reinforcement of order books across the industry.

Increased availability of Scandia 2000 in the Nordics

Lessebo Paper is entering into a collaboration with Kalmar Kuvert that enables customers in Sweden, Norway and Denmark to order the uncoated premium paper Scandia 2000 in smaller volumes. From 15 January 2026, the paper will be available via Kalmar Kuvert in pack orders and quantities up to a full pallet, complementing Lessebo Paper’s direct sales of larger volumes and project-based orders.

Mondi, with Voith as a key partner, brings recycled containerboard machine online

Full-line supplier Voith has supported Mondi to start up its state-of-the-art recycled containerboard paper machine in Duino, Italy, on schedule. Once fully ramped up, the machine will produce 420,000 tons of high-quality recycled containerboard annually. The mill’s product portfolio includes waste-based fluting, starting with 80 gsm, testliner from 90 gsm upwards, and paper reels from 0.95 m to 3.35 m on Mondi’s widest recycled paper machine.

Sappi and UPM propose new Joint Venture company for graphic paper business

Sappi Limited (“Sappi”) and UPM-Kymmene Corporation (“UPM”) have announced the signing of a non-binding letter of intent to form a non-listed, independent 50/50 Joint Venture for graphic paper. This Joint Venture will bring together Sappi’s European Graphic Paper business with UPM’s Communication Papers business in Europe, the UK and the US. The transaction will be subject to the fulfilment of a number of regulatory and other conditions, including shareholder approval.
