Mistra-Autex AS has awarded Andritz an order to supply a complete needlepunch line for its plant in Raasiku, Estonia. The new line will produce various types of nonwovens for surface applications, 3D molding, and other technical materials, primarily for the automotive industry. Start-up is scheduled for the end of the third quarter of 2026. The value of the order will not be disclosed. It is included in Andritz’s order intake for the first quarter of 2025.
Valmet will deliver an IntelliTissue 1600 tissue machine to PT Suparma Tbk’s mill in Surabaya, Indonesia. The new installation will enable production of high-quality tissue products for the Asia Pacific market and the start-up is planned for 2026. The order was included in Valmet’s orders received of the second quarter 2025. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
BW Packaging, Barry-Wehmiller’s packaging machinery group, has announced its packaging machinery lineup for Pack Expo, which will be held in Las Vegas Sept. 29–Oct. 1. Mondi recently announced the construction of a new biomass power plant at its integrated pulp and paper mill in Ružomberok, Slovakia. The new power plant will replace the existing bark boiler and is scheduled for completion in 2027. This investment will increase the mill’s energy self-sufficiency from 75% to 90%, providing a more sustainable and reliable energy supply for both the mill and the local community. Mondi SCP is currently supplying district heating in Ružomberok, and once the new power plant is operational, it will be able to further supply energy without relying on natural gas.
BO Paper Pisa has selected international technology group Andritz to supply a complete recycled paper stock preparation line with a capacity of 350 tons/day for its paper mill in Jaguariaíva, in the state of Paraná, Brazil. The new OCC (Old Corrugated Containers) line is scheduled to start operations in the second quarter of 2026.
Valmet is to supply two fine papermaking lines with related automation systems and services to a customer in China. The papermaking lines will produce uncoated woodfree grades and start-ups are scheduled from late 2026 to early 2027. Valmet has previously delivered multiple other technologies such as complete paper and board making lines to the same customer. The orders were included in Valmet's orders received of the second quarter 2025. The value of the orders will not be disclosed.

Minhan Paper Joint Stock Company has successfully started up a new OCC (Old Corrugated Containers) line supplied by Andritz to its mill in Van Lam, Hung Yen Province, Vietnam. This start-up strengthens Minhan’s position in the growing Vietnamese packaging market.
To support margin recovery, Sappi Europe will start implementing price increases initially USD 60-100/to, or equivalent, on all Woodfree Coated paper grades across its export markets for deliveries from 1. October 2025. The only exception is the United States, where the company has already informed customers of its intention to pass on the full cost of applicable tariffs.
Commenting on the group’s results, Sappi Chief Executive Officer, Steve Binnie said: “The group faced a particularly challenging quarter, marked by ongoing global economic weakness and heightened uncertainty stemming from persistent trade and tariff tensions. Sales volumes were impacted by the ramp-up of the Somerset Mill PM2 project. As a consequence the group delivered Adjusted EBITDA of US$80 million.”
