Next-generation rotating retractors clean hard-to-reach areas in processing lines

Södra’s sale of its holding in SunPine AB has been completed

Södra has been a co-owner of SunPine AB since 2008, with the aim of driving the development and market for renewable products based on tall oil, an important part of making more from every tree and thereby increasing the profitability of family forestry. As SunPine’s business operations, and consequently its need for expertise and ownership, changed, Södra decided to sell its 25% ownership interest to VAROPreem. The sale of the shares has now been completed and the transaction is therefore finalised.

Lenzing, Austria, selects Andritz to supply new debarking and chipping line

Lenzing AG has awarded international technology group Andritz an order to deliver a complete debarking and chipping line for its pulp mill in Austria. Start-up is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027. The value of the order will not be disclosed. It is included in Andritz’s order intake for the first quarter of 2026.

Valmet delivers major pressure part replacement for Eneco’s biomass plant in the Netherlands to increase reliability

Valmet will deliver a new secondary superheater to the circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler at Eneco’s Bio Golden Raand biomass plant in Delfzijl, the Netherlands. The service project supports Eneco and Valmet’s lifecycle partnership by reducing the risk of unplanned downtime and improving the plant’s overall reliability.

A Penteadora starts up Andritz textile recycling and needlepunch nonwoven lines in Portugal

A Penteadora SA has successfully started up a complete mechanical textile recycling line and a needlepunch nonwoven line supplied by Andritz at its production site in Unhais da Serra, Portugal. This investment enables A Penteadora to expand its industrial capabilities and develop a new generation of solutions based on pre- and post-consumer recycled textiles.

Biorefinery Domsjö Fabriker wants to strengthen Sweden's supply of liquefied biogas

Domsjö Fabriker is moving forward with plans to further develop its existing operations at High Coast Innovation Park in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The project has applied for a subsidy from Klimatklivet, Sweden's national climate investment programme, to upgrade biogas from industrial processes into liquefied biogas, LBG, which can replace fossil diesel in heavy transport. The aim is to commission the plant during Q4/2028.
