Valmet has received a repeat order for a Valmet IQ Process and Quality Vision (PQV) system from BillerudKorsnäs Skärblacka mill in Sweden. Smurfit Kappa Group plc announced that it has agreed to acquire Fabrika Hartije d.o.o. Beograd (‘FHB’) paper mill and Avala Ada d.o.o. Beograd (‘Avala Ada’) corrugated plant, in Belgrade, for a consideration of €133 million (the ‘Transaction’) from Kappa Star Group. › more |

Single-use plastic items will be banned in the EU
Items such as plates, cutlery, straws, balloon sticks or cotton buds, will be banned in the EU under plans adopted on Wednesday.These products, which make up over 70% of marine litter, will be banned from the EU market from 2021, under draft plans approved by Parliament. › more |
