Thanks to the reeling hardness control TURBODur, the pressure curves can be freely adjusted, thus ensuring perfect further-processing of the paper rolls. The volume of rejects at reel change will be reduced thanks to the larger reel diameter of 3.5 m. In addition, the water-jet supported changing system helps to minimize waste on the reel spool. Reduced rejects should ensure rapid payback on the investment.

Because of space restrictions on site, Bellmer worked out specific solutions for movement of the reel spools - they can now be transported directly into the slitter-winder. With the aid of an air cushion, the reel spools can be moved into parking positions both at operator and drive sides.

The mill has two paperboard machines with a combined annual capacity of 340,000 t. BM 2 was modified successfully by Vaahto in 2007, and over the years, Iggesund has kept very close contact with the Bellmer-Vaahto team led by Jyrki Strengell. Installation of the TURBOReelerPro is planned for the second half of 2015.
