The new research agenda will enable Germany’s forest, woodworking and pulp and paper industries to present themselves as innovative drivers for sustainable development. Moreover, it will crucially heighten the awareness of their issues and concerns in society and politics. A joint agenda will enable the sector to effectively champion its interests in the design of research and innovation funding schemes in Germany and Europe.

All members of the sector are invited to actively discuss the long-term aims of the sector and its companies, to send their most qualified representatives to the Stakeholder Workshop in Munich on 8 and 9 July and to take part in the public consultation in autumn by commenting on the first draft.
