At the annual group negotiations of the UPM-Corporation, skapa was chosen for the skapaCAL-nanotec covers for five calenders. The order is for UPM Augsburg, UPM Nordland Papier, Schongau as well as two for UPM Steyrermühl.

Moreover, the Stora Enso plant in Kvarnsveden, Sweden, has ordered several roll covers. A skapaPRESS-nanotec cover for the central press roll of the PM 8 has been delivered already. A skapaCAL-nanotec cover for the sym-roll (Optiload) of the calender of PM 12 is currently being produced, having  a length of 10.870 mm.

The hopes are high in Kvanrsveden, that the use of the premium-cover skapaCAL-nanotec, will have an improved effect on the efficiency and availability of the calender. Furthermore, the premium cover offers a longer service life and an improved barring-resistance.
