Since its foundation in 1958, Asia Paper Mfg. Co., Ltd. has specialized in the production of kraft paper, gypsum linerboards and testliner. The company is highly regarded in Korea, especially for the high quality of its products and modern production processes.

While product quality is paramount, energy-efficient production also has an important role to play. With this in mind and to satisfy increasing demand, Asia Paper has decided to modernize certain paper machines in its Cheong Won and Sihwa mills. Bellmer shoe presses are known for achieving high dry content and the hydrodynamic shoe design reduces both energy consumption and downtime.

PM 3 at Cheong Won will be fitted with two shoe presses, installed as a so-called tandem-press in the press area. The third TurboPress will complement the existing shoe press on PM 1 at Sihwa.
