K&N Paper files for insolvency

The Chemnitz District Court has opened preliminary insolvency proceedings upon the German recycled magazine and packaging paper manufacturer, according to Euwid.

Production operations of recycled lightweight coated (LWC) magazine paper and white-top coated testliner at the mill are continuing and customers' supplies are reportedly not affected.

K&N Paper employs 130 people at the mill in Kriebstein, Germany. The company has one paper machine with a total capacity of 115,000 tpy of recycled LWC and white-top coated testliner.

In 2016, K&N Paper and five private investors have taken over the former Stora Enso Kabel LWC paper mill in Germany and renamed the company to Kabel Premium Pulp & Paper.
