JAMES CROPPER indulges Germany with luxury food contact paper

British master papermaker James Cropper is set to take a bite of the German food packaging industry with the launch of its luxurious food contact-approved range of papers, Dolcelicious.

The delectable paper range, which is suitable for contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs, is designed to elevate the packaging experience for premium food brands.

Norbert Spiegel, Sales Manager for the DACH region at James Cropper, said: “We’ve been working on tailor-made solutions for a variety of brands within the food industry for some time and realised there is a growing demand for high-quality coloured papers in this sector. There’s a huge appetite to create something unique that stands out in this competitive industry, whether it’s high-end chocolatiers or speciality tea and coffee suppliers. After all, the first bite is with the eye!”

The range is available in 11 eye-catching colours, including Lemon Drizzle, Liquorice, Silver Spoon and Kiwi Fizz. The papers guarantee a flawless finish.

Norbert added: “Dolcelicious is our first stock range of food contact-approved papers. We’ve developed a variety of hues to choose from – from organic, subtle and natural to glamorous, rich and bold – to offer the desired impact for individual brands. However, we also encourage clients to 'tailor’ the paper using embossing patterns to develop a truly unique product, which can help further enrich the brand.”

The range is manufactured in the UK to meet Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and OHSAS 18001 Standards.   Dolcelicious was launched to the European market at London exhibition Luxury Packaging Innovations and is now coming to Paperworld in Germany.

In addition to meeting food regulatory standards, all papers in the Dolcelicious range are FSC® certified, making them an environmentally-conscious choice.
