Södra board revises profit distribution proposal

The Board of Directors of Södra is submitting a revised proposal for profit distribution for consideration by the General Meeting to be held on 2 June in Jönköping. The revision entails a dividend of 2 per cent on both paid-in and issued member capital, instead of a 2 per cent member capital issue. It is being presented following the broad dialogues and discussions the Board has held with members during the annual meeting period and with the Council of Representatives. The Board assesses that the change can be implemented without affecting Södra’s financial stability. In addition, the Board has decided to allow trading below nominal value in members’ issued capital, a question that has also been raised by members.

General Emballage selects Andritz to supply Africa’s largest paper machine

International technology group Andritz has received a major order from General Emballage to supply a complete PrimeLine paper production line for a greenfield mill in Naama, Algeria.It will include the widest and highest-capacity paper machine in Africa. Start-up is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2028. The order value is in the low three-digit million euro range. It is included in Andritz’s order intake for the first quarter of 2026.

Challenging first quarter for Södra

Södra delivered a positive result for the first quarter of 2026. The result was strongly impacted by the divestment of Södra’s forest holdings in the Baltics.
