Andritz to convert SC paper machine to produce lightweight containerboard for Heinzel Group
nternational technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Heinzel Group to rebuild the PM10 at its Laakirchen paper mill in Austria. As from the third quarter 2017, PM 10, which is currently producing SC paper, will be producing waste paper-based lightweight containerboard. › more |

Valmet to supply key technologies for Cheng Loong's new board machine in Vietnam
Valmet will supply Cheng Loong Binh Duong Paper Company with key process technology for its new BM 1 containerboard machine to be located in the company's Ben Cat mill in Binh Duong Province in Vietnam. Valmet's delivery includes a headbox, forming and press sections, a winder and quality measurement system. › more |

Northern Pulp boosts shutdown budget, spending over $10M in 10 days
Northern Pulp Nova Scotia Corporation begins its annual maintenance shutdown on September 10. The purpose of such a shutdown is to carry out preventative maintenance on non-operating equipment. The shutdown, an event most industrial facilities undertake, will see the mill’s workforce skyrocket from just over 330 to nearly 1,000 workers with tradespeople descending on the Pictou County region. › more |

Valmet supplied tissue machine started up ahead of schedule at Hengan, Wuhu, China
Hengan's 19th tissue machine, an Advantage DCT 200HS tissue line supplied by Valmet, successfully started up in August at the company's mill in Wuhu, Anhui province in China. The installation and commissioning were performed in record time and the start-up went very smoothly. The new tissue machine adds another 60,000 annual tons of tissue products to Hengan's current production of more than one million tons per year. › more |

Borregaard: Investment project to upgrade the bioethanol plant and to increase the use of bioenergy
Borregaard has decided to invest EUR 6.8 million in a project which includes an upgrade of the bioethanol plant and a facility to capture and store biogas. The project has been awarded a grant of EUR 2.04 million from Enova, a Norwegian government agency which promotes environmentally friendly restructuring of energy end-use, renewable energy production and new energy and climate technology. › more |
