Henrik A. Christensen nominated as new Chairman of Norske Skog
The Chairman of the board at Norske Skog, Jon-Aksel Torgersen (64), has informed the Election Committee that he is not a candidate for re-election as Chairman. The Election Committee of Norske Skog unanimously proposes that Henrik A. Christensen (54) be the new Chairman at Norske Skog at the Extraordinary General Meeting on 10 August 2016. › more |

Voith startup of Sun Paper’s New Testliner Project
Sun Paper recently started up its new kraft liner paper machines with an annual capacity of 800,000 metric tons at its location in Zoucheng. The main paper machine, the right-hand machine PM 31 and the left-hand machine PM 32, are both provided by Voith. › more |

Huhtamaki enters the foodservice packaging market in India
Huhtamaki has acquired 51% of Val Pack Solutions Private Limited ("Valpack"), a privately held paper cup manufacturer based in Mumbai, India. With the acquisition Huhtamaki enters the growing foodservice packaging market in India, where many of its key customers already are present. › more |

Catalyst permanently shuts down paper machine No. 9
Catalyst Paper has permanently shut down Paper Machine No. 9 at the Powell River mill. Paper Machine No. 9 has been indefinitely curtailed since Dec. 2014. Catalyst continues to focus on revitalizing the Powell River mill for the future. › more |

Toscotec starts up PM1 press section rebuild at Papeterie Sical, France
Papeterie Sical and Toscotec announce the successful start-up of PM#1 after a deep press section and related parts modification. The machine came in operation according the planned shut-down time and, after the optimization phase, is now producing the targeted container board products quality. › more |

Innventia starts project on 3D-printed prostheses based on forest raw materials
Vinnova has granted funding to Innventia for the AMPOFORM project. Together with four other companies, Innventia will develop technical solutions for printing 3D prostheses manufactured from forest raw materials. › more |
