Commission approves acquisition of Fibria by Suzano

The European Commission has approved under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of Fibria by Suzano, both active in the production and supply of wood pulp from eucalyptus trees. The decision is conditional on full compliance with commitments offered by Suzano. Suzano and Fibria, both from Brazil, are the two largest global suppliers of bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp ("BEKP"), an input to the paper, tissue and packaging industry. more...
