Valmet to supply cooking, fiberline and recausticizing technology, as well as a new lime kiln to Naini Papers in India
Valmet has been selected to deliver the key process technology for a new cooking, fiberline and recausticizing plant, as well as a new lime kiln, at Naini Papers' mill in India. The new plant is expected to produce approximately 100,000 tons bleached hardwood pulp per year, and start-up is scheduled by the end of the first quarter in 2020. › more |

Valmet will supply a grade conversion rebuild with automation solutions for Shangrao City Lulin Paper Co., Ltd. in Shangrao, China. The main goal of the customer is to increase the capacity of fluting grades and expand the company by building a new greenfield mill. The start-up of relocated and converted paper machine PM 5 is scheduled for early 2020. › more |

FSSC 22000 food safety certificates for Metsä Board’s Kyro, Äänekoski and Husum mills
Metsä Board, a European producer of premium paperboards and part of Metsä Group, is pleased to announce that the food safety procedures at its Kyro, Äänekoski and Husum mills have recently been certified according to the FSSC 22000 food safety standard. Voith announces new spreader roll capabilities in North America
Voith has established spreader roll services at its West Monroe, Louisiana, facility, with the creation of a dedicated, expert spreader roll team that is able to resolve spreader roll issues. With the new service, Voith now offers bowed spreader roll repairs and rebuilds to the North American paper mill market. › more |

National Museum of Science and Technology and Stora Enso build Stockholm’s smartest wooden building
With Stora Enso as the principal partner and donations of SEK 85 million, Tekniska Museet – Sweden’s National Museum of Science and Technology – is mustering forces to create a digital, interactive learning and test environment for scientific communication: Wisdome. This is one of the single most important initiatives at the National Museum of Science and Technology since it was founded almost 100 years ago. On March 1st, Erik Olsson will take on a position as production manager at the Obbola paper mill. Erik comes from a position as process manager in pre-project Aurora. He has earlier held a number of positions at the Obbola paper mill, such as maintenance manager och process engineer. › more |
