only four weeks left, until finally the ZELLCHEMING-Expo and conference kicks-off.

From June, 24 to 26, 2014 the paper industry will get together in Frankfurt. By the way - have you registered yet?

Themed "Fibers in Process" an intensive and varied program awaits you:

  • The ZELLCHEMING-Expo, the annual highlight of the European pulp, paper and supplier industry.
  • The conference "Accepting challenges – shaping transformation" includes:
    • The "Business Forum" offering a platform for the exchange of ideas on business developments and political frameworks.
    • The internationally known lecture series "Science & Innovation" and "Cellulose Symposium" go into more detail for the technically-minded visitors. The lectures and discussions will be held in English. The "Business Forum" will be translated simultaneously.
  • The Networking Events:
    • Opening Event – on June 24, 2014 at 6 pm, after the exhibition. With Hessian specialties and musical interludes we say "Welcome to Frankfurt"
    • Summer Evening – The traditional event will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Meet friends and business partners, and enjoy an evening in a modern atmosphere.

As you can see, an exciting blend between trade fair with special exhibitions on specific themes, conference as well as networking events await you!

PTS: Paper & Board Symposium with new features

„Future aspects of markets, resources and materials“ is the slogan of the Paper & Board Symposium organized in Munich on 17 and 18 September. Apart from the customary high quality of lectures and the accompanying technical exhibition, the event will offer several new features this year.

Valmet: Order from Siam Cellulose Co., Ltd., Thailand

Valmet will supply a part of a major rebuild and some new equipment to a pulp mill of Siam Cellulose Co., Ltd. (SCL) in Thailand. The mill is located in Wangsala, Kanchanaburi province. The value of the order is around EUR 30 million.

Tieto: Reduced trim waste and improved efficiency at Lee & Man

Tieto has successfully delivered Tieto Integrated Paper Solution TIPS Trim to Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing Ltd, China. The project includes 18 paper machines in five locations: Dongguan, Jiangsu, Chongqing, Jiangxi, and sites in Vietnam.

Petrocart: Starting up new Toscotec tissue line

At the end of April, the Rumanian tissue producer Petrocart, has successfully started up their new Toscotec complete tissue production line installed in Piatra Neamt, headquarter of the company since 1908.

Hamburger Hungária: Construction of state-of-the art power plant

Prinzhorn Group laid the foundation stone to mark the start of construction works for a new power plant at its paper production site in Dunaújváros. With an investment of about EUR 150 million the power plant will significantly improve energy efficiency of the mill.

Andritz: Rebuilding deinking plant at Leipa Schwedt, Germany

Andritz has received an order from Leipa Georg Leinfelder to supply components for rebuild of the screening system in the DIP1 deinking plant at its Schwedt mill, Germany.

Valmet: Complete boiler plant to Hamburger Hungaria

Valmet will supply a complete boiler plant to Hamburger Hungaria Power in Dunaujvaros, Hungary in order to provide more sustainable energy production by enabling the use of renewable resources. The value of the order is about EUR 50 million.
