Editor-in-chief
Dear ipw reader,

recent news underline that this industry is intensifying cooperation with its customers - from my point of view, this is a very promising trend!

E.g., Mondi just introduced its new high-speed inkjet portfolio 2.0, which features a larger colour gamut, increased opacity, and new grammages: This is the result of having listened to customers needs and identifying current short-comings, declared Mondi Marketing & Sales Director Johannes Klump. Meanwhile, Smurfit Kappa has developed the patented Catcher Board MB12 which prevents the migration of mineral oil hydrocarbons from packaging into food products. And Brigl & Bergmeister is currently upgrading its quality control system at its Austrian mill in Niklasdorf in order to further enhance the quality of its labels that are found on world-renowned beverage brands. Last but not least, Sappi inaugurated the rebuild PM 2 at its German Alfeld mill where new, almost customized specialty paper grades are now being manufactured.

Keep on moving & happy Easter!

Sincerely,
