Susanne Haase
Editor-in-chief
Dear ipw reader,

I have been attentively reporting about CEPI’s progress concerning the ‘2050 Roadmap to a low-carbon bio-economy’ since the very beginning. Now, the first action, the Two Team project, was officially launched and the first meeting has just taken place in Lenzing, Austria.

The teams are urged to think outside of the box and they are looking for the maximum support from passionate stakeholders within the pulp and paper industry, and also from beyond this sector. Anyone with a creative idea is very welcome to submit it a.s.a.p. at www.unfoldthefuture.eu.

In November this year, at least four breakthrough technology concepts should be delivered. The jury – composed of CEOs and high-level European officials – will select the winning concept, and during CEPI’s Annual Meeting at the European Paper Week 2013 the winner will be unveiled.

Make sure to get involved! We will keep you posted in any event.

Sincerely,

PS: Magazine deadlines for ipw with a focus on energy, drives & automation, pumps & valves are approaching. Please contact Susanne Haase, sha@ipwonline.de for editorial by March 1 and Jean-Pierre Ferreira, jpf@ipwonline.de for advertising by March 15.

PPS: Our tissue issue will be out this week.
