Dear ipw reader,

we are thrilled to announce that Petra Hanke will be the new managing director of ZELLCHEMING  (the association of chemical pulp and paper chemists and engineers in Germany). She is a well known and well liked person in our community and we wish her well on this new and challenging endeavor.  Ms. Hanke was responsible for ipw (as well as our other magazines Paperazzo and Druckspiegel) for many years, and we look forward to continuing a successful collaboration in the future.

For more good news, such as the announcement from APP to end the clearing of natural forests across their entire supply chain in Indonesia, and some not-as-good news, please read more below. Our next printed magazine will be out on February 15th.

Wishing you a prosperous Chinese New Year of the snake,

your ipw team

PS: Magazine deadlines for ipw with a focus on energy, drives & automation, pumps & valves are approaching. Please contact Susanne Haase, sha@ipwonline.de for editorial by March 1 and Jean-Pierre Ferreira, jpf@ipwonline.de for advertising by March 15.
