SCA: Strengthening its presence in South America


SCA acquires the remaining 50% in the Chilean hygiene company PISA (Papeles Industriales S.A.), and will after the transaction own 100 percent of the company. The purchase price is approximately SEK 520 million.

Roberto Villaquiran, CEO European Packaging Division at SKG, took over the leadership of FEFCO, from his predecessor Bob McLellan. Roberto had been unanimously elected by the FEFCO members in March.

Spanish manufacturer of recycled paper Alier S.A. has contracted Voith to take over the complete maintenance of its stock preparation, paper machines, finishing and water treatment facilities at its Rosselló site, Spain, for a minimum of five years.

Andritz: New recovery boiler to Mondi Frantschach, Austria

Andritz has been selected by the Mondi Group to supply a 1,200 tds/d recovery boiler for the Mondi Frantschach mill in St. Gertraud, Austria. The boiler is scheduled to start up in the second half of 2013.

Andritz: FibreFlow drum pulper to Jeonju Paper Corporation, Korea

Andritz has received an order from Jeonju Paper Corporation to supply a drum pulper for its Cheongwon mill, Korea. By installing the new system, the quality of the newsprint pulp produced will be improved, fiber losses will be minimized, and power consumption further reduced.
